Sandra trained for 4 years to become a professional consultant astrologer. Upon passing her exams she was awarded the qualification D.F.Astrol.S. (Diploma of The Faculty of Astrological Studies) in 1985. She is a member of the Association of Professional Astrologers International and the Astrological Association of Great Britain.
Sandra is also a qualified and experienced teacher. She qualified as a teacher in 1975 and taught children aged from 4 to 14 years between 1976 and 1986, her main subjects of interest being Art, Music and French.
Sandra has run an astrological practice since 1985, first in Dorset and now in south Shropshire, her current home. (See Work Offered for a list of services offered.) She specialises in typewritten astrological reports, astrology tuition, and work on babies’ and children’s birthcharts.
She has taught astrology in L.E.A. Adult Education classes, in Dorset (1985-1987) and in Shropshire, from beginners’ to advanced level. She has also run private astrology courses, and astrology study groups, in Dorset and Shropshire. In 1997 she appeared on Shropshire Radio.
Sandra was a correspondence course tutor for The Faculty of Astrological Studies from 1989 until 2002. As well as correspondence tutoring, she regularly taught exam revision classes in birthchart interpretation at both Certificate and Diploma levels, these classes taking place in London over many years. She also contributed to Diploma level course material.
In 2002 Sandra and six other experienced tutors created astrologycollege.com, a new correspondence school of astrology. This school offers a Taster Course, a Foundation Course, and a Diploma Course.
What can astrology do for you?
As a professionally trained and qualified astrologer, Sandra draws up a birthchart (or horoscope) which is completely unique to you. A birthchart is a map of the sky based upon exactly when and where you were born, so it is unlikely that anyone has exactly the same birthchart as you. This map shows which signs of the zodiac each of the planets was in, which areas of the sky they were in, and how the planets link up with each other. The positions of the planets, and their relationships with each other, give the astrologer a tremendous amount of detailed information about you. A birthchart describes not just what you are like as a person, but more helpfully, why you are like you are; and if you are experiencing problems or blocks in your life, the chart will describe why this is, and the various options available to you to change your life for the better if you want to.
Astrology can be used to help you to understand yourself at a deeper level. It is able to describe psychological patterns at work in your life, and can explore these patterns or cycles for the current year, or for any year in the past or future that you want to look at. Armed with this knowledge about yourself, you will be better equipped to make important life decisions and generally to make the most of opportunities that come your way.
As a professional astrologer, Sandra does not make decisions for clients or tell them what they should do. Nor does she attempt to predict what will definitely happen in terms of events, as her approach to astrology is client-centred rather than fatalistic. A certain amount of free will is allowed for in the work that Sandra does for clients, and her approach to interpreting birthcharts will allow you to make your own decisions and choices in life based on the information shown in your chart. You will be told about the different cycles operating in your life, and the options available to you for personal growth, and to achieve success and happiness in your life.
For any of the following astrological work you will be asked to supply your date, time and place of birth. If you do not know your time of birth, a reasonably detailed birthchart can still be drawn up, but the more accurately you know the time, the more detailed the chart will be. A hand-drawn copy of your birthchart (and any other relevant charts) is included in all work.
Consultations
A consultation can cover any area of your life you are interested in apart from detailed, specific information on health and medical matters.
Consultations can be for half an hour, 1 hour, or 1½ hours, and can be recorded if you wish. These sessions can be conducted face-to-face, or by telephone. A half-hour consultation can be about your birthchart generally, OR can be used to give a forecast summary, but there is not enough time to cover both in this brief session.
A 1-hour, or 1½ hour session, can be used to cover JUST the birthchart generally, OR for forecasting, OR for both.
It is advisable, though not essential, to have an in-depth 1½ hour session to begin with. This will allow enough time to uncover any specific issues, to look at what is happening in your life at the moment, and to see how you can use the current planetary energies to make necessary changes or decisions.
A one-off session is often all that is needed, but for deeper work, further sessions of one hour can be booked.
Typewritten Reports
All typewritten reports are covered and professionally presented, and include your birthchart and any other relevant charts. Full payment in advance is required. The length of the Character Analysis, Future Trends, and Synastry Analysis is around either 15 or 25 A4 pages each, depending on preference. The length of Electional and Astro-Geography Reports varies according to what is required. Any typewritten work normally takes up to 2 weeks to complete.
Astrological Character Analysis
This analysis explores specific areas of your life including Intellect, Career, Home and Family, and Relationships, as well as giving an in-depth study of your general character and personality. If you are experiencing problems, possibly ones which seem to keep repeating in your life, this report will analyse why this is, and will highlight the strengths and abilities you have which can be used to help resolve these problems.
Astrological Future Trends
Your life-pattern is studied for the past year, the present year and the following year (or any 3-year period you choose). This enables you to see how you have reached your current situation, and the options available to you for developing this further, or making changes if you want to. This overall picture is followed by an in-depth forecast for the forthcoming 12 months (from the time the report is started, or from any month you choose). This report does not simply suggest what might happen, but explores the reasons why certain kinds of event could occur, and how you can work with your planetary energies to your best advantage.
Synastry (Relationship) Analysis
This report compares two (or more) birthcharts to study compatibility between people. You would find this report helpful if you want to understand a relationship in depth; astrology can suggest reasons why you have formed a relationship with someone - what you can learn from them, what you have to offer them - and can show in which areas of life you will be compatible, and in which areas you could experience conflict. Where there is potential for conflict (and all relationships are likely to have a certain amount), the charts can indicate the strengths of the relationship which can help to offset the more difficult areas. This report can be prepared for any kind of partnership, so can be very useful for business partnerships as well as for romantic relationships, for example.
Please note that permission needs to be given by both parties involved before this report can be undertaken.
Electional Astrology Report
If you are thinking of starting a new venture, this could be the report for you. This might be anything from the opening of a shop or restaurant, to a wedding, or moving into a new home. Some dates and times will be better for starting your new venture than others, and this report suggests the best ones possible for you, as well as noting dates and times that could result in problems arising, which might be better avoided. Not only is the best date and time suggested (and possibly more than one date and time can be suggested), but a written report explains why this would be most helpful, and how the venture is likely to progress if you start it at the time suggested.
Astro-Geography
This is a technique which pinpoints the most beneficial (and also most problematic!) places in the world, or just within one country, for you. Certain places are likely to ‘work’ better for you than others, and this report will indicate areas where you could be successful in whichever area of life you are interested in. For example, you might want to know where might be a helpful place for you to study and pass exams, or to develop a successful career, or to enjoy a happy social life - even, perhaps, to find a partner. These are just a few examples - this technique can pinpoint positive places for any area of your life, as well as those places which could be more difficult and which you may want to avoid. This report includes maps of your chosen area, showing clearly which places are applicable to you.
Please note that an accurate time of birth (i.e. to within a few minutes) is needed for this report to be undertaken.
